1. Introduction to EMC Testing
An electromagnetic compatibility laboratory is designed specifically for EMC testing. Electromagnetic compatibility is the ability of systems and subsystems to operate normally in their electromagnetic environments without performance degradation caused by interference. To verify EMC design, the development process must assess emissions from interference sources, transmission characteristics and the ability of equipment to withstand interference, confirming compliance with relevant EMC standards and specifications.
2. GTG EMC Laboratory
GTG has established comprehensive EMI and EMS capabilities in South China. The EMC laboratory includes one 10 m anechoic chamber, four 3 m anechoic chambers, and five shielded rooms and EMS immunity rooms. The 10 m chamber and one 9 × 6 × 6 m chamber meet medical equipment EMC testing requirements. Maximum voltage and current reach 380 V / 200 A (three-phase) and 1,000 V / 200 A (DC). Broad capabilities and accurate measurements support EMC compliance and pre-compliance testing for CE, FCC, VCCI and other markets.
3. EMC Certification Services
Americas: FCC SDoC, FCC ID, ICES, ISED ID and more;
Europe: CE-EMC and more;
Asia: CCC, CQC, BSMI, KC, VCCI, PSE and more;
Australia: C-Tick, RCM and more;
4. EMC Test Items
EMC testing includes electromagnetic interference (EMI) and electromagnetic immunity (EMS). EMC standards require electrical and electronic equipment to meet limits for radiated and conducted emissions, as well as requirements for radiated and conducted immunity.
(1) EMI testing, including CE and RE, measures conducted and radiated emissions from electrical and electronic products and equipment, and evaluates interference transfer characteristics during signal transmission.
(2) EMS testing, including CS and RS, primarily covers:
1. Radiated immunity to electric and magnetic fields;
2. Conducted immunity to interference injected into power, control, signal and grounding lines;
3. Immunity to electrostatic discharge and transient disturbances, including surges and electrical fast transients.
