CCC is China's compulsory product certification system. Products listed in the certification catalog undergo testing and review to protect product safety. Businesses must complete the conformity assessment required for their product category, obtain the relevant certificate and use the certification mark as prescribed.
1. Certification Overview
CCC stands for China Compulsory Certification. It is a product conformity assessment system implemented by the Chinese government under relevant laws and regulations to protect consumers' personal safety and national security and strengthen product quality management.
Compulsory product certification establishes a product catalog and mandatory procedures for testing and reviewing listed products. Products in the catalog may not be imported, released for sale from the factory, or used in business and service premises without a certificate from a designated certification body and the required certification mark.
The CCC mark is a basic safety certification mark, not a quality mark. The system aims to address fragmented administration, repeated reviews and fees, and unclear separation between certification and enforcement through a unified catalog, standards, technical regulations, conformity assessment procedures, mark and fee structure. It also establishes technical regulations, standards and conformity assessment procedures consistent with international rules to facilitate and liberalize trade.

4. Required Documents
The above documents apply to power supply products. Detailed requirements vary by product; please contact us for guidance.
5. Certification Process
1. Application acceptance;
2. Document review;
3. Receipt of submitted samples;
4. Sample testing and document verification;
5. Laboratory prepares a draft report;
6. Confirm the draft and upload it for review;
7. CQC initial review, secondary review and certificate issuance;
8. Certificate printing, collection, delivery and management;
9. Factory inspection within 3 months after the first 3C certificate is obtained
Factories classified as C or D must pass inspection before certification.
6. Certification Timeline & Validity
Certification generally takes 4 weeks after complete samples and documentation are received, excluding factory inspection time. CCC certificates are generally valid for 5 years.
7. Factory Inspection
1. Inspection scope: Factory quality assurance capability and product consistency
(1) Factory quality assurance capability is reviewed against CQC's Factory Quality Assurance Requirements and Factory Inspection Record Form.
(2) Product consistency checks focus on the following:
a. Consistency of certified product markings and nameplates with the type test report;
b. Consistency of certified product construction with the type-tested sample;
c. Consistency of critical parts and components with the corresponding list in the type test report;
d. On-site checks according to the Routine and Confirmation Inspection Items Table.
2. Initial factory inspection: This may be conducted separately or combined with the initial or surveillance inspection for CCC certification.
3. Initial factory inspection timing: This generally follows successful type testing, although testing and inspection may proceed concurrently where necessary. Inspection time depends on the number of certification units and the factory's production scale, generally ranging from 1 to 4 person-days per production site. Specific durations are given in the Special Requirements of the Product Certification Implementation Rules for the relevant product.
