1. Certification Overview

Bluetooth certification is also known as BQB qualification. Products with Bluetooth functionality that display the Bluetooth mark must complete qualification. All Bluetooth SIG member companies may use the Bluetooth word mark and logos after qualification, but only on products that have completed the qualification process. Another significant brand change is the discontinuation of the Bluetooth Smart and Bluetooth Smart Ready marks. The Bluetooth word mark is a trademark and must not be altered or translated into another language.

Not every product supporting Bluetooth functions may be marketed as a Bluetooth product. It must first pass testing and qualification by the Bluetooth Special Interest Group (SIG) to demonstrate compliance with Bluetooth standards. BLUETOOTH and related logos and marks are registered trademarks of Bluetooth SIG. Qualification confirms compatibility and performance against Bluetooth standards and permits lawful use of the marks and relevant Bluetooth specifications.

Two samples are required: one with an RF cable connection and test-mode capability, and one normally functioning unit. Provide two sets of accessories.

1. Conditions for Using the Bluetooth Brand
(1) A company must be a Bluetooth SIG member to use the Bluetooth brand.
(2) Member companies must properly qualify products using the Bluetooth brand and comply with the license agreements. Qualification and declaration must be completed through Bluetooth SIG's online tools.
2. Bluetooth SIG Members' Rights to Use the Bluetooth Brand
(1) Use Bluetooth technology in products and services;
(2) Use the Bluetooth brand in products and services;
(3) Rebrand or resell products using Bluetooth technology.

10. Mark Usage Guidelines

The figure mark may be used in blue, black or reversed colors. In special circumstances, it may also be used in black or white. When blue is used, it must meet the following color specifications:
