Certification Overview

CE-EMC

Electromagnetic compatibility (EMC) is the ability of equipment or systems to operate as required in their electromagnetic environment without causing unacceptable interference to other equipment. It has two aspects: emissions generated during normal operation must remain within specified limits, and equipment must have sufficient immunity to interference present in its environment. EMC assessment forms the electromagnetic compatibility part of CE compliance.

5. Certification Process

1. Application: Complete the form, provide documents and send samples;
2. Quotation: Engineers determine applicable standards, test duration and fees from the information provided;
3. Payment: Accept the quotation, sign the project application and service agreement, and pay the fees;
4. Testing: The laboratory performs the full test program against relevant EU standards;
5. Testing passes and the report is completed;
6. The project is completed and a CE certificate issued.

6. Certification Timeline & Validity

Timeline: Approximately 2 weeks. Testing problems, incomplete samples or other exceptional circumstances may require additional time.
Validity: Depends on whether the standard remains valid. If the standard expires, the certificate also expires and recertification is required.

7. Factory Audit

No factory audit required
