ENEC is a European electrical product safety certification covering lighting and accessories, IT equipment, switching power supplies and other products. Testing and certification to relevant European standards demonstrate compliance with safety requirements and support access to the European market.
1. Introduction to ENEC Certification
ENEC (European Norms Electrical Certification) is a CENELEC certification scheme for specified products meeting European standards, including lighting, components, office equipment and data equipment.
ENEC is a common European safety certification mark used for products tested against harmonized European safety standards.
The ENEC mark indicates compliance with relevant European standards. Certificates may be issued by test bodies in countries participating in the CENELEC Certification Agreement (CCA). ENEC certification is recognized by CCA signatories and may eventually replace individual national safety certifications. More than 20 European countries accept the mark without restriction, including Austria, the UK, Norway, Belgium, Greece, Portugal, the Czech Republic, Hungary, Slovenia, Denmark, Ireland, Spain, Finland, Italy, Sweden, France, Luxembourg, Switzerland, Germany and the Netherlands.
